If you make any of the copycat drinks or pastries, drop me a line at theweigh2go@mac.com or post a comment to tell me if they taste just like the store versions! Just for kicks, here is a cool video I found on the Coffee Fair site called “The Art of Coffee.”
If you already use Twitter to post about your weight loss journey, why not go a step further and “tweet” about what you have eaten at FoodFeed. I actually eliminated long posts about what I had eaten on my blog because it did not seem interesting. However, with 140 characters or less, tweeting about your food intake is bearable.
People may not want to read 2 or 3 paragraphs about what you have eaten, but small tweets about your food intake are great because people can get your information, but in smaller bites. FoodFeed uses Twitter for its service.
Recently, the state of Alabama has decided to force its workers to live an obese free lifestyle or pay extra in health insurance. This does not go into effect until 2009, but the state’s 37,527 employees better get fit or prepare to pay.
This tactic has also been successful for helping the state’s employees quit smoking because smokers have been charged for their bad habit. To read more about this story, check it out at MSNBC.
No, this is not an advertisement for Walk Away the Pounds. A man found a way to connect his Wii Fit Balance Board to Google Maps’ Street View. He pounds the pavement without leaving his home. What a brilliant way to get in your exercise. Not only do you work up a sweat, but you can also see parts of the country that you have never seen before one block at a time.
The hack used to accomplish this task is on his blog at Blog.Katsuma.TV and Google will gladly translate it for you. The video is in Japanese, but you get the idea. Check it out!

I know it has been a month since I have written and it is funny that my last post was about the Wii Fit because it arrived yesterday! I have been on it burning calories for two days. I cannot explain how great I feel when I do it. My favorite section is aerobics and I have unlocked the advanced super step. You are having such a good time on it that you don’t realize that five minutes has elapsed. I will post some pictures of my little Wii Fit later! By the way, because I pre-ordered my Wii Fit, I was able to get one, but the last thing I heard was that they were sold out on Amazon. Whenever you can, definitely get one!!
I can barely contain my excitement! I was sitting at my desk and received an e-mail from Amazon. I opened it up and inside I read that I could pre-order my Wii Fit today! I am so excited. It will not be available until May 21, 2008, and I cannot wait. If you have not already heard about the Wii Fit, definitely check out this video. I posted another video ages ago, but here it is again for those that may be new to the Wii.
You cannot understand the limitations of being fat until you are. I thought that I had left that life behind in 2003, but here I am again. I am actually in a great place mentally, and I am on my way to losing again. However, I think it helps for the skinny people to know what fat people experience and feel on a daily basis. Jess writes a cool article about how it feels to be fat. All of it may not apply to you, but it is definitely a good read. Check it out here.
My husband introduced me to Foamy a few years ago, and this video never gets old. He is one direct little critter and tells the truth about most things. My favorite line in the video is the part about thinking you can eat anything once you have dropped the weight. That is soooo me. He keeps it real about the consequences too. If you don’t mind a few bad words, it is worth a view.
